Nyan Araujo Silvério

About Me

Hi, my name is Nyan, I am a designer trying my hand at different things. Right now I am working as an freelance WEB developer/art director/motion designer. I consider myself a multitasker, since I was young I have been interested in different fields, constantly learning and doing different things, maybe it’s because I grew up in different cities and got to know many people and cultures.

When I was 5 years old my father moved to Chicago, USA and my family moved with him. The first language I learned to speak was Portuguese, and the first I learned to read and write was English. I also had the opportunity to live in London in 2017, where I worked mainly as a floor manager in a jazz club/restaurant.

I have always been interested in art in general, I started playing instruments when I was 6, I loved drawing as a kid and in my teens I started using Photoshop, mostly in gaming forums, but my first attempt at uni was engineering, it did not work out,  in my opinion the experience of knowing what you do not want is just as important as knowing.

Shortly after dropping out of university I decided to go for what I really wanted, something that combined my artistic side with my logical side, and that was when I discovered design. It literally changed my world, being able to apply my knowledge in endless ways was a game changer. In my final year project I decided to do something I had never done before, fashion, and it gave me something I really needed, the ability to express myself. It was only through fashion that I really got to know myself and was able to let other people know who I was.

Right now one of my main hobbies is learning about front-end, VFX, 3D and AI. Innovation is what moves me, identifying innovative approaches and improved solutions to business challenges both motivates and drives me, observation, inspiration and determination are my foundation to success.

For a greater presentation of my background and qualifications, please review my  resume. I am eager to speak with you and greatly appreciate  your consideration

Sincerely
